April – June Events

You might not be able to sneak away to the City of Lights but you can feel like you’re there when you attend a Paris is Calling event at Chartreuse & Co. in Frederick, Maryland. Launching in April 2021, join me on the third Thursday evening of each month for a special event tailored to lovers of all things Parisian.

Tickets include the event and an opportunity to have a VIP shopping evening at Chartreuse & Co.—a unique home décor store offering one-of-a-kind treasures from talented designers, collectors, artisans, and dealers. Since Chartreuse & Co. is only open on the weekends, you’ll get the first opportunity to see what’s new before the store opens to the public.

Pick your event or join for all of them. You’ll be learning, eating, crafting, and shopping, all in a safe, socially-distanced environment.

Tonight, we’ll explore French, English, and Maryland Ciders, while Eric and Lori share with us the various styles and history of craft cider. Insert Eric’s bio here:

Tonight, we’ll be sowing our seeds and planting an Herbs de Provence kitchen garden. As we plant our gardens, we’ll be joined by Elin Ross, formerly of Moxie Bakery & Cafe.  Today, you can find Elin sourcing produce at local farmer’s markets and whipping up culinary delights, and for this one evening, she’ll be sharing with us how to use Herbs de Provence in your kitchen. From roasting tomatoes to adding to other recipes, come and learn about this useful French kitchen staple. We’ll leave with richer knowledge and a lovely little herb garden to call our own.

Elin is a recovering/retired pastry chef who still uses her mad baking skills to promote social justice and community philanthropy. She enjoys classical flavors paired in interesting new ways and usually has something experimental on her kitchen counter.

Tonight’s class will include:

  • Herbs and planter
  • A glass of rosé
  • A small-bite sampler plate
  • Early shopping access to Chartreuse & Company’s weekend sale
